What is Road Ahead?
Road Ahead comprises Dave Lucas and Dave Newton and from time to time, a number of others. We are a group of friends who decided back in 2004 to make volunteering into an enjoyable and creative process. From our involvement in the Guide Dogs charity, our first project was to make a film about guide dogs. This was called The Road Ahead and from this we took the name of our group.
What We Do
We set up or assist with fundraising events generally for Guide Dogs and we provide presentations about the needs of blind people and guide dog users.
We have provided a number of sessions to local groups and companies, in particular to Sunderland Colleges. We use powerpoint and our own film clips and we have our own projection facilities.
Our Products
We have made a number of films which you can view on our Films page. The Road Ahead was the first.
We have also set up a number of fund raising events, noteably Dave Lucas's "Lighting Your Landscapes", a yearly music event.
Presentation Service
We offer our presentations at a rate of £250.00 for a half day session which covers all expenses. This is negotiable however if your budget is restricted. We will consult you about your requirements and tailor our presentation to suite.
